Do not force the key. It could bend or snap and make the lock problem worse. Check whether the key goes all the way in and whether there is pressure on the door, but do not take the lock apart. Call 775 057 795, describe the problem and give the address. A locksmith will then come and open the door.
Do not push the broken piece further in or try to remove it with glue or a sharp object. Stop using the lock and, when booking, say whether part of the key is sticking out. The locksmith will check whether the broken piece can be removed and the door opened. If the lock needs repair or replacement, this will be agreed as a separate job.
If the door was not locked with a key and simply closed behind you, you need a slammed door opening service. Choose this service if the door is actually locked, the key will not turn, the lock is jammed or a broken key is stuck inside it. Based on your description, we will select the right service and prepare accordingly.
Labour starts at 499 CZK. The final price depends on the type and construction of the door, the condition of the lock and what is preventing it from opening. The work required may vary if the mechanism is jammed or a key has snapped inside the lock. Basic rates are listed in the price list. Lock repair or replacement is charged separately.
Further work may be needed if the lock still sticks, the key does not turn smoothly or the mechanism is damaged. After opening the door, the locksmith will show you what is wrong and explain the options. Repair or replacement is not automatically included in the opening service: you will agree the scope separately before any further work begins.
